Who We Are
The Southeast’s most successful land development and second-home marketing company.
HOW IT ALL BEGAN
The Waterfront Group was founded by brothers Mark and Will Adkins. Born about five minutes apart in Huntington, West Virginia, they’ve chosen a common path through college and career: Both played football at Coastal Carolina University and graduated with Business Administration degrees in 1989. Both went on to gain valuable experience working with the same successful land company—Will in acquisition and development; Mark in sales. In 1994 they decided to form their own company.
The Waterfront Group has become the Southeast’s most successful land development and second-home marketing company. Their team includes experts dedicated to every part of the process, from land acquisition and development to sales and closing. Their acquisitioners obtain the most stunning properties, many directly from the banking and development industries. And Mark and Will are committed to developing thoughtfully and responsibly, always respecting the land, always cooperating and complying with local environmental, planning and zoning authorities.
Outside of the office, Mark and Will continue to share common interests, like competing on local baseball teams, piloting private aircraft and dedication to their ongoing charity work. They have supported animal rescue organizations for many years, and both contribute a significant amount of time to Camp New Hope, the children’s charity they founded and continue to privately own.
